Local Outreach
We don’t have to travel half way around the world to preach the gospel. God has put us here in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area to reach out to our neighbors. We are accomplishing this by providing help and support to people in our community. Whether it is Christmas gifts to families in need or sending supplies to soldiers oversees, we are making an impact.

Food Service at Helen Wright Center
LWFC visits the Helen Wright Center for Homeless Women to serve lunch on the first Saturday, and breakfast on the third Saturday of every month. This is a great way to build relationships with the ladies and to let them know that they are not forgotten. It is also our way of telling them that, along with God, we are fighting for them. Meet us at the church on the first Saturday at 11:00 AM and on the third Saturday at 6:00 AM to carpool with the rest of the team to the Helen Wright Center. If you would like more information please contact Kim Parrott. See you there!
Support Circles
After someone moves out of a homeless shelter, it takes a circle of people to surround them and their family as they start a new life. A Support Circle is designed to come alongside a family as they take steps to transition back into permanent housing and independence. Each Support Circle will consist of 6 to 10 team members from LWFC who will commit to a 12-month relationship with a family, helping them find housing and resources and encouraging them through the process of becoming stable. As part of the Support Circle program, the family will receive financial assistance from LWFC to help pay a portion of their rent. If you would like to join a Support Circle Team or provide occasional resources as needs arise, contact Cindy Rice.
Phase 2 Building Project at the Helen Wright Center
After 1500 man hours of work, the first phase of the Helen Wright Center has been completed. This April, we will finish the project and help to change even more lives.
